How to Contest a Camera Citation

Request a Hearing

You may contest the traffic camera ticket by filing a Request for Hearing with the Clerk of Court within 30 days after the date of issuance of the ticket. A Request for Hearing can be filed:

    • by US Mail,
    • by faxing to 440-953-4149, or
    • in person at the Clerk’s Window during normal business hours.

A filing fee of $25.00, as stated in the Court’s cost schedule, will be assessed to the case and requires payment by mail or phone prior to case processing.

Traffic camera violations are governed by Ohio Revised Code Sections 4511.092 through 4511.099.
