Wedding Information

The Willoughby Municipal Court encourages you to have your wedding ceremony performed at the courthouse located at 4000 Erie Street in Willoughby, Ohio. The ceremony may be conducted in one of our courtrooms or, upon your election and weather permitting, may be conducted in the beautiful Rotary Park on the courthouse grounds.

Scheduling:

You will need to schedule the ceremony in advance by calling our Court Administrator at 440-953-4163 to choose a date and time for your wedding.

Requirements:

You must have a valid marriage license, photo identification and pay a court cost of $50.00 on the day of the ceremony. Marriage licenses are issued through the Lake County Probate Court, and you may call them at (440)350-2168 for their requirements.

Ceremony:

On the day of your wedding, come to the courthouse and check in at the Civil Department window about 20 minutes prior your scheduled ceremony time, unless otherwise instructed. Be sure to bring with you, your marriage license/certificates, valid photo identification for both parties and the court cost of $50.00, which may be paid in cash or by check made payable to the Willoughby Municipal Court. We do allow guests and photographs during the ceremony, at your discretion.
